Once upon a time, in a far away land called New York City, there was a man named Christian Dior who had a very important fashion show coming up, one that would change the course of style forever. Since the 1920’s (think flappers) designers had slowly been cutting away at hemlines, and on this particular night our dear ol’ friend Christian had decided enough was enough. He planned to re-instate a longer hemline with a debut of below the knee coats and dresses. The mini skirt was at risk of going extinct! Hundreds of women flocked to protest against Dior (gasp!), and fight for their right…to mini! We all know the end to this story; it was love at first sight between mankind and mini skirts.
