Better than Whiskey

No one wants to be that girl that’s still wearing the slinky, lightweight dress come December. Although showing some skin is always an option, there’s nothing sexy about goose bumps, chattering teeth, and complaining because you’re freezing. This season when hitting the town combine your favorite wintry knits with pieces such as the LBM (little black mini). Try this Cheap Monday Cream Sweater with an American Apparel Black Mini. I suggest pairing with black opaque tights, black fur lined boots from Aldo Shoes, and a precious gem necklace. Not only will this outfit create the effortless looking balance of glamor and comfort, but will inspire a girly rocker feel. So next Saturday, don’t rely on a stiff drink to warm you up, dress for the occasion and let your winter knits be as versatile as you!

Baby It's Cold Outside

After a long, gorgeous fall it’s finally time to bundle up.  And while I was eternally grateful for the extended warm weather, I now have something new to be thankful for: chunky knits and hot apple cider.  This winter I plan to keep warm on the windy streets of Chicago in a chic alternative to the winter coat.  The cloak not only offers warmth to its wearer, but an element of mystery and escape.

I suggest pairing this grey, wool French Connection cloak with black leather gloves with bow detailing by White House Black Market.  On the bottom, keep warm with black leather, over the knee boots by Aldo Shoes.
