Play Date

With spring comes the return of the romper, one of my all-time favorite items!  There is something so youthful about the romper (hence the name playsuit), and immediately after putting it on I feel more energetic and childlike (as if that’s what I really need).  So have a spring-fling with play-suits this season; they’re much more fun than boys!

Wear the Pants

There’s no complaining about body-type this spring…because there literally is pant out there for everyone.  Wide-leg, slouchy, cropped, flared, the almighty trusted skinny…you name- spring’s got it.  So “wear the pants” in all aspects of life, not just your wardrobe, and step out in total confidence this spring!   Below are some of my favorite looks from Asos- Enjoy!

In the Nude

Wearing bright colors and bold prints is fun and a great form of expression, but sometimes I prefer to be in the flesh- or so to speak.  Nude-tones add an extra touch, something different…that colors can’t.  So don’t be skittish about baring all, and stepping out “in the nude”.

Avoid the Winter Blues, Just Wear Some!

There’s nothing a little retail therapy can’t fix, including the winter blues.  Rather than try to avoid this yearly dilemma, why not embrace it and incorporate some beautiful blue hues into your winter wardrobe.  While black never seems to get old, navy is a close cousin and great alternative.  Marc by Marc Jacobs has some great options, not only in different shades, but ranging in formality.  So, until we have the bright blue skies of spring, make due with the colors in your wardrobe!

Bright Brights- Big City!

Bright colors are headed our way again this spring (maybe this time around we can avoid the 80's theme party look...).  After a long cold winter, full of grey slush and dark skies I can't wait to wear clothes that not only reflect my high spirits, but gorgeous, warm weather!  Traditionally in the past such bright colors have been saved for the summer, and soft pastels have been the spring transition...not this year!  Expect colors such as pink, orange, yellow, blue, and white- Enjoy!

Hippie! Hippie! Horray!

Sometimes I have days where I cant control the urge to release my inter flowerchild.  I've never even heard my parents play a Led Zeppelin album, and I'm almost 100% positive none of my relatives went to Woodstock.  Nonetheless, I have hints of hippie in my blood and my mother often rolls her eyes at me for my free and spontaneous spirit.

I usually just braid a section of my hair back or wear my favorite beaded, gold, peace sign earrings when I want to add a touch of 70's influence to my look, but when the power of the flower is too strong to resist I turn to Free People.  A true one stop, groovy shop.
