Nothing quite does it like the intoxicating smell of leather. Whether it’s riding down a familiar road in a brand new car or singing along at your first rock concert as you gaze up at that cute singers butt (in those way too tight pants). This season, I personally prefer my leather in shoe, bag, jacket, pant, dress, or shirt form!
Designers such as Alice and Olivia, Marc Jacobs, and Derek Lam have taken a material notorious in rock & roll, the 80’s, and my favorite episode of Friends and created works of art. While Pencey’s mix of velvet and leather creates an edgy, high glam dress made for a super star (or a night you feel like one), Derek Lam’s use of wool, and only leather on the sleeves, makes the tee more appropriate for everyday wear.
